I chose to share this animation not only because the characters and comic hold a huge place in my heart, but because of what was created. The song in the background was composed by the webcomic creator and his friends, and so were several of the images used. The designs of the characters all belong to Andrew Hussie. What this video did was use the song to create a battle scene that these characters, given the nature of their upbringing, would have to live through. The song is a mixture of all 12 character's theme songs and when they appear on the video is when that section of the song is theirs. Seeing that people took a song and used it to create this is incredible!
There is shapes, patterns, wild colours, different textures, all of the space possible has been utilized to make this animation! The rhythm of the song fits to the characters actions and vice versa, the movement obviously present, and the balance is very chaotic. There isn't a key point of focus because there is so much to look at.
Of course I can't make the life connection something like "oh, I've done this!" but this video and song represents teamwork. All of the characters have their differences and quarrels, but they all are able to come together and use their strengths to defeat their enemy.

The only connection that I can make to my life from this video is the fact that my friends and I have been the majority of the characters depicted at conventions!

I can make a personal connection to this video. But because perfection can never be accomplished, those who try to make themselves look like those they admire are only going to end up hurt because they can never again be good enough for themselves on their own.

Christopher Kezelos is the name of the director. This is a stop motion animation. I was attracted to the title of the animation, when I was introduced to it last year. The contrasting colours of the characters and the way that the lines in the yarn move across them are leading lines around the character. The calm voice of the narrator and the small sounds the characters make make it easier to focus on the story line and even create your own dialogue. This animation is about finding something good when your life is at its worst and making the best out of it. It's about proving others doubts about you wrong. My personal connection to this is the very purpose of the animation; overcoming bad times and making something better out of them. The music and sounds in this are important, because by just listening to this on mute, its impossible to understand the story.
